“When you dare to tell a story, you can change the game”, says Kymberlee Weil, a high-stakes speaking strategist and veteran storytelling coach to 300+ Ted X speakers around the world--she’s even coached people to speak at the UN in front of the world audience!

She was on our recent Friday FB Lives every friday at Noon EST and gave a LIVE training on how to CAPTIVATE YOUR AUDIENCE IN SECONDS. Here’s more info:

Kymberlee founded Storytelling School to teach individuals and communities to be unforgettable every time they speak and to change lives with a story. She prepares speakers to tell their stories in the most captivating and impacting way possible, without fear and overwhelm.

Although the fear of public speaking consumes 25% of the United States population, Kymberlee understands that everybody has a story to tell, as everyone has a unique view on a topic. Her methods enforce the idea that the stories you tell matter, so if you do the work and prepare, you will succeed. “Think of storytelling as an art...there is always another level”, she says.

Quick Storytelling Tips By Kimberlee

  1. Prepare with sticky notes and write down all of your thoughts.

  2. Be playful in your rehearsal and practice your speech in different ways.

  3. You only need one lesson to come out of a story.

  4. Tell the story you would want to hear.

  5. Dare to be different and dare to do things a little less conventional, that’s what will get people’s attention.

Kymberlee also shared that the more one is willing to be vulnerable and share life's challenges, that is where they humanize themselves and are seen as someone people want to listen to. The exciting things to listen to are the real stories of how one got to where they are and how they became inspired. “People want to know the origin story, the moment it changed for you and you had the idea,” she stated. The actual setting and events like “I was in Paris sitting at a cafe when…” (interview minute 28:30).

Kymberlee has a mission to inspire anyone who is willing to put in the work to create influence globally. “We all have a Ted X in us”, she says (FB LIVE interview minute 33:15).

“It’s not enough anymore to have a great idea and passion. You must be a great storyteller. If we are willing to put in the effort, we can tell stories with our businesses behind us”, Kymberlee shared at the Facebook Live that took place in the “Small Biz PR Pros” Facebook Group on April 23. --Click HERE to watch the replay of her interview.
